June Joys

June has been full! I had a Catechesis of the Good Shepherd training down in Tacoma for two weeks. Rohan came with me and hung out with a group of wonderful women! Lucelia spent the first week with her Grammy, my mom, Aunt Babe, and her cousins Brogan and Rourke. The second week she spent with Judoo, Jesse's mom. It was such a gift to have Judy here as it saved me HOURS of driving each day I had my training.
On Saturday, the 27th, we celebrated Lucelia's 2 1/2 birthday with a party at Lakewood Playground. Many friends and family came for burgers and dogs and a good dose of sunshine. We had a momentary panic when the bathrooms were locked for the first hour, but a guy who works for the city happened to drive by, noticed the doors closed and opened them for us. Whew! My sister who is 8 months pregnant literally threw her hands in the air in celebration and jogged to the women's restroom!
Lucelia had a great birthday. She loved playing on the playground and the swings, and the highlight- her Disney Princess birthday cake. She received many wonderful gifts and is enjoying learning to master them.

Our friends Mars, Ryan, and their 11 month old, Luke, were also able to join us for the weekend.
They flew up from L.A. Saturday morning to join us for Lucelia's party and to be Godparents to
Rohan along with my sister, Lisa, and her husband Jimmy. Rohan's baptism was on Sunday morning at St. Therese. It was perfectly beautiful and the little guy didn't even squawk! He had a look of calm observance on his face the entire time!

And now our summer will be much more quiet for the next month. We will enjoy going for walks, wading in the pool, grilling, and most importantly, me not working a jobby job! Due to cut hours and minimal pay, it is best for our family for me to stay home with Lucelia and Rohan. And so, this week I am officially unemployed. I plan to soak up every minute of being with my children. So... time to get to work having fun.
